There is quite a bit to write about in this month’s newsletter since Halloween is fast approaching. Yet in addition to Halloween there are several other upcoming fun things to do here in beautiful South Florida during the month of October. Many of us are still kids are heart and enjoy both the fun and the spirit that the Halloween holiday has to offer. There are countless parties and gatherings to attend where you can meet other single people who also enjoy the playful, good-humored and mischievous activity that is synonymous with this holiday. Listed below are some special attractions for those that are interested. The very popular Fright Nights will be at The South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until the end of the month. If you’re feeling lucky go to the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek for the third annual Haunted House Give-A-Ways each Thursday until the end of October. If you enjoying dressing up in a costume (or even if you don’t) there will be lots and lots of singles at the Masquerade Ball in the Casino on October 30th at 7:30 p.m. As an extra added treat the Village People (who can forget them???) will be performing on stage at 9:00 p.m. and at the infamous stroke of midnight there will be a costume contest with big cash prizes. Could Prince Charming or Ms. Right be standing right next to you hiding or disguised?? Call 1-866-2Casino. For the cultural minded individual... The Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale located at One East Las Olas Boulevard will be presenting DIANA, a celebration of the life and work of the Princess of Wales until the end of the year. The Italian Trade Commission and The Regional Government of Veneto will be offering Exclusive Grand Tastings and will be presenting Tradition and Innovation in Wine and Food from the Veneto on Tuesday, October 26th at 1200 Anastasia Avenue in the Biltmore Hotel in Miami. This presentation is organized in association with Vinitaly Tour. Call 305-445-1926. Music, music, music! The months of October and November are just chock full of concerts at a variety of venues. The Pompano Beach Amphitheatre will feature Sting with Annie Lennox and then on October 22 Queensryche will be performing. You can look forward to both Carrot Top and Rick Springfield in the month of November. Disco fans- the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek will be featuring Divas of Disco on November 6th at the Casino. And at yet another casino - the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood - they will be featuring crooner Smokey Robinson and Jim Belushi and the Sacred Hearts.
